From our Caldwell beginnings in 1976 to Howard’s Cleaning & Supply today, we’re celebrating the people and community behind five decades in business.
In 2026, Howard’s Cleaning & Supply is celebrating 50 years in business. Our story began in Caldwell, Idaho, with the founding of Howard Building Maintenance in 1976. Five decades later, we’re proud to continue serving businesses and properties across the Treasure Valley.
An anniversary gives us a reason to pause and recognize the people behind the work: the employees who care for customers’ spaces, the businesses that trust us with their properties, and the community we call home.
It started in Caldwell in 1976
Caldwell is where our company began, and it remains home to our main operations office. As we mark this milestone, that connection is an important part of our story.
Much of the work in our industry happens around someone else’s schedule: before an office opens, after employees head home, or as a construction team prepares to turn over a finished space. The result is something people depend on every day—a building that is clean and ready to use.
That everyday work deserves recognition alongside the anniversary itself. A clean restroom, a cared-for floor, or a freshly cleaned window may be a small part of someone’s day, but each contributes to how a place feels and functions.

To our team: thank you for the effort you put into the details. Cleaning and maintaining a building takes physical work, attention, and follow-through. We appreciate the people who show up and take pride in those responsibilities.

A new chapter as Howard’s Cleaning & Supply
Our 50th anniversary also comes with a new chapter. Howard Building Maintenance and Idaho Cleaning Services are coming together under the Howard’s Cleaning & Supply brand, bringing our services and supply offerings under one name.
Today, our work includes recurring commercial janitorial and day porter services, post-construction cleanup, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, pressure washing, soft washing, tile and grout cleaning, and janitorial supplies.
We have also opened a Boise office in the Kendall Center at 5445 W Kendall St., Boise, ID 83706. Our main operations office remains at 120 W Kearney St., Caldwell, ID 83605.
Looking ahead together
As we celebrate this anniversary, we’re looking ahead to the work still to come: helping offices stay ready for the next workday, getting spaces ready after construction, and supporting customers with the cleaning products their facilities need.
